Doily love

I love oldfashioned doilies with a modern twist. I found the pattern of this doily in an old crochet book.  I like the result with these lovely colors. I think I'm going to make some other ones soon!

Also a picture of the potholders I've made for my sister.  I just used a nice granny square pattern.  I'm very happy with my new Made-by-leen labels. A real finishing touch for all my crochet work. These are from www.nominette.nl.

Next blogpost I'll explain how to crochet easy bag handles that won't stretch by wearing them.

Fijne week toegewenst!
Have a nice week!

Citroen / lemon

Some time ago a friend asked me to crochet a lemon. (a cushion for the couch). I couldn't find a proper pattern, so I designed a pattern myself. With this result. Evelien, I hope you will like it!

I have written down the pattern of the lemon. Are you interested in this pattern? If there is enough interest in the pattern I will share it on my blog.

Pattern april flower shawl / Patroon april flower omslagdoek

Thank you all so much for all the lovely compliments last blogpost (also on Instagram). In this blogpost I will share the pattern of the april flower shawl.

The shawl is based on the Sultanstitch from the book 'The crochet stitch bible' from Betty Barnden. It's an easy stitch with a nice result. I used hooksize 4 mm and Catania cotton (5 mint, 1 pink, 1 darker pink, 1 blue and 1 green). A little warning before you begin: this shawl won't get a real triangle (as more patterns I think...) . I've  tried many things working out this pattern, but I didn't succeed making a real triangle with this beautiful stitch (if you have an idea.... suggestions are welcome). I have blocked the shawl in the end and when I wear it, it works for me.
