Here it is..... the pattern of the stuffed toy fox!

Ja.... het heeft even geduurd, maar hier is hij eindelijk.... het patroon van het vosje!

Het vosje is op dezelfde manier gehaakt als het konijntje en de pinguïn die je al eerder langs zag komen op mijn blog. Ik gebruik hiervoor de 'mochila' haaktechniek; dit is een soort tapestry haken waarmee je met meerdere kleuren tegelijkertijd kunt haken. Wees gerust: dit patroon werkt met maximaal 2 kleuren tegelijkertijd..... goed te doen dus!

Voordeel van het mochila haken boven de 'gewone' tapestry techniek, is dat het patroon niet naar links of naar rechts gaat wijken en mooi recht loopt en dat de meeloopdraad nauwelijks te zien is.

Vind je niet dat het vosje leuk staat tussen mijn verzameling? (het rendier wordt overigens het volgende patroon dat ik ga uitschrijven)

Here it is..... the pattern of the stuffed toy fox!

It has been crocheted with the same technique as the little rabbit and penguin who you already know from earlier blogposts. The used technique is the 'mochila' technique. It's a form of tapestry crochet, using more colors at the same time. This pattern works with a maximum of 2 colors at the same time. Benefits of this mochila technic are that the carried will be more invisble and that it prevents the design from slanting.

Red sunflower bag

Afgelopen weken heb ik me bezig gehouden met met een hele nieuwe manier van haken: mochila haken. Wat is dat leuk en wat geeft het een leuk effect! Ik ben helemaal enthousiast: dit was zeker niet mijn laatste mochilatas.

Het resultaat is deze kleurrijke en vrolijke tas:

De bloem op de tas is geïnspireerd op een rode zonnebloem (ja, die bestaan echt ;-) ).  Ik ben heel benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden. Ik heb het patroon uitgewerkt met veel stap voor stap foto's en tutorial video's en het is inmiddels te vinden in mijn Etsy shop en op Ravelry. 

Lijkt het je ingewikkeld om met meerdere kleuren tegelijk te haken? Dan is dit patroon de ideale gelegenheid om het onder de knie te krijgen. In tegenstelling tot de meeste mochilatassen werkt dit patroon met maximaal 2 kleuren tegelijkertijd. Veel minder gedoe met bollen katoen die door elkaar gaan raken dus. Verder heb ik het patroon erg gedetailleerd uitgeschreven en kun je ook terugvallen op voorbeeld filmpjes op Youtube. De stap naar het haken van een mochilatas met 5 kleuren tegelijkertijd is na het maken van deze tas een stuk kleiner!

De mochila haaktechniek is een speciale vorm van tapestry haken. Door de techniek loopt je patroon mooi recht omhoog en gaat het niet wijken zoals bij 'normaal' tapestry haken. Verder zie je de meeloopdraad niet tot nauwelijks, waardoor je een mooi strak patroon krijgt.

Tot slot is ook het voeren van de tas beschreven in het patroon. Al is het bij deze tas niet direct noodzakelijk, door de al stevige structuur.

Last few weeks I tried a completely new crochet technic: Wayuu / mochila / tapestry crochet. It's so much fun and the result is awesome! I think more mochila bags will follow soon....

The flower of the bag was inspired by a red sunflower (yes, they do excist ;-) ) I can't wait to hear your opinion about this bag. The pattern (with lots of step by step pictures and video tutorials) can be found on my  Etsy store and on Ravelry. 

Do you think it's very complicated to work with more colors at the same time? Than this pattern may be perfect for you to get acquainted with it. In contrary to most of the wayuu bags, this pattern uses a maximum of 2 two colors at the same time. By using only two colors, your yarn will tangle less. The pattern is very detailed and includes lots of step by step pictures and even video tutorials. After crocheting this bag: making a wayuu bag with 5 colors at the same time is an easy step to make.

The mochila / wayuu technic is a very special way of tapestry crochet. Using this technic prevents the design of the bag from slanting. Besides that the carrying color will be almost unvisable.

Making the lining of the bag is part of the pattern, but it isn't absolutely necessary because of the tight structure of the bag.
